With modified exhaust tickets being given out like candy on Hallowen, it's just crazy. You can even have a legal 93db sound limit exhaust system and still get the ticket because you probably got pulled over due to the "shiny" appearance. Not to mention, it's "not stock". Well, recently, we've been doing some research with a company called DHM. Our latest project is Lorenzo Martin's DC2 Integra of Santa Ana California. He sports a beefy 2 liter GSR motor making well over 217hp and runs a stock ITR muffler, 2.5in piping w/ a test pipe and the DMH E-Cutout. All I can say is "wow"...pop that bad boy open and all hell breaks loose. Keep it closed and it sounds like a stock ITR with a test pipe. Soon, we will try and post some dyno numbers to see what the gain is from closed and open.
DMH Electric Cutouts are designed to better your cars performance and feel. The cutout works by welding into your stock or modified exhaust. They can be placed anywhere after the headers. To open the cutout you press a switch, which opens cutout, releasing your exhaust. This enables you to bypass your muffler, increasing horsepower and giving your car an extremely throaty rumble.
According to Lorenzo, this part was very easy to install, the motor and electronics, wiring and switch are all very high quality items.
I was able to drive his car and was equally impressed with the power delivery and response with the cutout open. Even with it closed, it was definitly no slouch! So, if you are crusing the streets of O.C., don't be fooled by the quiet sounding stock ITR muffler, as your ears, just might be in for a surprise!

We recommend the 2.5in or 3.0in kit, depending on your configuration, but sizes are available in 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 3.5 amd 4.0 inch diameter flowtech units.
