The Gear-X Close Ratio Gear Set for the K-Series engine is designed as a drop-in replacement kit.
Suitable for street and race K20 or K24 where very close ratio applications are required, such sprints, hill climbs, road race and drag race. Works well with a factory final drive, but is a spectacular performer when used with a 5.08 final drive. When a 5.46 final drive is used with the gearset, it is designed for very short-course racing or fast, short, autocross courses. We do not suggest using the 5.84 or 6.33 final drives with this close-ratio gearset.
This kit has been used in the recent 25 Hours of Thunderhill race and was abused and used HARD!! We took the transmission apart after the 25 and everything looked as good as new. FYI, we used Motul Gear FF fluid in the transmission.

Kit consists of : A custom mainshaft, 4 custom mainshaft gears and six countershaft gears.
