Inline Four is proud to introduce our very own line of "cast" throttle bodies. Unlike other cast throttle bodies on the market, our iL4 Performance throttle body features a polished brass throttle plate. When using brass for the throttle plate, it will diminish "sticking". Throttle plate sticking is commonly found with cheap aluminum throttle plates, which most throttle bodies on the market use.
In addition, our iL4 Performance Maxx Bore Throttle Body also features a low profile throttle plate shaft that utilizes flush mounting bolts, to maintain airflow velocity and to minimize any disruption of airflow.
Furthermore, our throttle body is also precision bored and tapered to offer the best performance. The throttle body is maximum bored over to 73mm and is carefully tapered down to a 71mm back-end opening. This type of specific precision taper increases the velocity of the air traveling through the throttle body.
Our iL4 Performance Maxx Bore Throttle Body can be used on 1.8L motors, up to 2.0L+ plus. For the 1.6L motors, they perform best when used with forced induction applications or when used with a large plenum style intake manifold. When adding a throttle body of this size with a taper, you will see the increase in power and the ability to rev the motor higher and smoother.
There is nothing like this on the market today. All iL4 Maxx_Bore Cast Throttle Bodies have the option of including the MAP and TPS sensors. As well as the ability to get it with a 4-BAR MAP sensor for forced induction applications. Another Inline Four First!
