Aside from the typical wear and tear that a daily driver will put on the front hub bearings of a vehicle, a circuit car/road race car will put double or triple the amount of wear in a single race. When a vehicle is turning high RPM's and navigating the track, bouncing off the rumble strips, slamming on the brakes, etc. The vehicles front hub bearings will eventually succomb to failure. You obviously do not want them to fail during the race, as you may not have a hydraulic press on hand to press them out in the pits. For that reason, make sure to have them changed on a regular, scheduled basis.
