A differing degree of load will always be applied to the drive shaft's left and right wheels when cornering or accelerating. As a result, the factory differential allows torque to escape to the wheels. The purpose of the LSD is to control this escaping torque by restricting differential functionality so that sufficient traction my be maintained. Furthermore, side bearings with high strength and high resistance to extreme pressure have been added to this assembly. This LSD is a 1.5-way mechanical differential. Note: Only for Japan spec transmissions or RSX Type-S transmission.
